Do you have CAD and want to mock something up with parts you can find at your local hardware store? McMaster-Carr has 3D CAD files of almost every part they offer for free. (Also, I just found out the Citroën CX 25 TGI Loadrunner exists and... holy shit I’ve never wanted anything more in my life)

Here’s the counter/bar/console table I’m building for my apartment. Yes, I’m building it out of pipe pieces, which is a trend I absolutely hate (because when other people do it they get caught up in the kitsch and don’t know how to make it look nice). However, I don’t have access to a MIG or TIG welder so this will work.

Quick design and render:

But back to that Citroen, OHMYGODIWANTITSOOOOOOOOOOOOOBAD!!!

Kinja'd!!!

And they turned a Piper Comanche into a camper!

Kinja'd!!!

Forget the Mercedes 6x6, this is the greatest 6 wheeled car.

Kinja'd!!!

I haven’t been this excited about a car since I saw that Alpine GTA in person at C&C.

My brother in law has been thinking a lot about what the ultimate road trip car would be, I think tpshould be taken under serious consideration.

PS. I told him Ford Excurssion, or Buick Park Ave. he said BMW M5. He’s weird but in a good way.

This is just the ultimate car in general, forget the Mercedes 6x6.

We had a V10 Excursion when I was little, it was awesome, I wish my parents had kept it.

His is a diesel. 6.0l with 175,000 miles. It’s rusting to Leicester though.

Late GM H-Bodies are pretty good highway mile killers. I’ve spent plenty of hours in the back seat of an Olds 88.

I would trade all my worldly possessions for that Citroen.

I’ll even throw in my soul, I won’t be needing one when I have a French wagon with six fucking wheels.

I would say it would be perfect for a conversion van-style interior, but knowing Citroen, it already likely has some sort of awesome retro-futuristic interior that only the French would make.

The seats, door cards, and instrument cluster are awesome. I wanted one of these before I saw the 6 wheeled version but god, I need one now. I think it (the standard version) just got bumped up to a tie with the Alpine a310 on my cars to import from Europe list.

That is beyond amazing without question.

What kind of suspension were they running though? I know that the hydropneumatic system is a bitch to repair and one dude in Europe has been hoarding all the parts...

I think it’s still hydroneumatic, which is okay as long as you run the right fluid in it.

That’s actually the one that kicked this all off. From what little I found, they were converted by a coachwork company for companies like newspapers.

Yes, built by Tissier they were mainly used to haul newspapers. Most epic one was the “Penthouse” loadrunner. A camper.

Kinja'd!!!

That’s what you want to use it for, right? ;-)

10/10 would camp in. I like the low roof ‘break’ with rear windows the best though
